ALFABETO (Medellin & Paris) A traveling public art project that explores language as functional sculpture (functional art).


Medellin (2015): Developed with the El_Puente_Lab collective for MDE15. Through a participatory design (community design) process with the residents of Barrio Conquistadores, the structures become devices not just to be seen but to be lived: seating, tables, supports for artists. The goal is to encourage encounters and celebrate community spirit.

Paris (2022): An evolution of the concept. The ideograms become practicable urban furniture. The design literally rests on the existing, reusing existing benches as its structural base. The mirrored polycarbonate (poly mirror) cladding captures and reflects the surroundings, animating the square in a dynamic placemaking intervention.
