ANELLI DI SATURNO

ANELLI DI SATURNO (Rings of Saturn). A site-specific public art and light art installation. The sculpture was conceived by capturing the serene quietude of the medieval village landscape. It is a work that lives from its context: by day, it is a golden circle suspended between the roofs; at night, when the mountains disappear, the luminary activates and extends the definition of landscape to the Cosmos. The work is inspired by the shape of Saturn's Rings, celebrating the memory of the scientist who discovered the telescope and grew up in this place. The ring becomes a portal between the village and the universe, a piece of land art connecting earth and sky.
